Latoya “Toya” Lewis

My Story

Toya’s professional journey began with eight years of service in the United States Air Force, followed by eight years of federal government service—giving her 16 years of public service before bringing that experience into the nonprofit sector. Today, she is a nonprofit leader whose work centers on strengthening families, creating pathways to stability, building community partnerships, and designing systems that help people access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. She is a natural connector, problem-solver, and big-picture thinker who loves turning a good idea into something people can actually use.

But titles have never told the whole story.

Toya is happiest doing life with her husband and best friend, ReZsaun, and the six humans they have raised together. Marriage, motherhood, friendship, family, and all the beautifully chaotic life that happens in between have given her plenty of stories—and plenty to say. Together, Toya and ReZsaun created Pursuit of Forever, where they share an honest, funny, grown-folks look at love, marriage, partnership, family, and choosing each other through every season.

Through Lew Legacy, Toya is bringing all the pieces together. From podcasts and books to storytelling, content, business ideas, and whatever they decide to create next, Lew Legacy is home to the things the Lewis family is building now—and the things they hope will continue long after them.

Outside of work, Toya loves traveling, good food, laughing entirely too loud, spending time with her people, creating, dreaming up her next idea, and finding increasingly creative ways to make money while she sleeps. Because getting paid to exist still sounds like an excellent business model. 😏

As life enters a new season, Toya is embracing a quieter nest and the freedom to design a life on her own terms—one filled with purpose, possibility, and room to pursue the ideas that matter most. She is building more than memories for her family; she is creating options, opening doors, and showing what it looks like to live with intention.

Her legacy is not simply what she leaves behind, but what she sets in motion: courage in the people she loves, possibility in the communities she serves, and meaningful change that continues long after she is gone.
